The housing sector is facing a major shift: we need to build faster, with fewer raw materials, while maintaining a focus on quality and liveability. During this session, AM and BAM explore how the sector is developing – from different material choices to more industrialised construction – and what this requires from collaboration across the value chain. In this wider perspective, timber construction also comes up as one of the ways to make progress in sustainability, speed and climate.

At the same time, we make it tangible with practical experience. With the Flow concept, BAM shows how industrialisation can contribute to acceleration, flexibility and a healthy place to live. We share examples from completed projects, experiences in collaboration with housing associations, investors and municipalities, and how residents experience these homes. We also look ahead: to further development, combinations of materials and what is needed to scale up, also drawing on the opportunities provided by our own factories to gain more control within the value chain.
